Six armed men burglarized a South Anchorage home Saturday night while holding the home’s residents at gunpoint, police report.

In a press release, APD spokewoman Jennifer Castro reported that at 11:25 pm, APD received a call of an armed robbery that occurred on Tulin Park Loop. First responders found a woman and her teenage son at the residence, who say six armed men forced their way inside after the mother answered the door, and held them both at gunpoint while they robbed the home. One suspect is also reported to have struck the teenage boy in the face during the incident.

A preliminary investigation of the robbery was conducted, but no suspects were immediately identified. The residents describe the first suspect as a slim black male, approximately 5’7”-5’9”. The second is described as a mixed race male with olive skin and possibly a large birthmark on his face. A third suspect was described as a black male in his 20’s, with medium build and short hair. No other suspect descriptions were readily available from the family.
