ANCHORAGE -

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is asking the public for information on the identity of a suspect in an East Anchorage bank robbery Wednesday morning.

Just after 10:30 a.m., a teller at the First National Bank Alaska at 5305 Norther Lights boulevard was approached by a white male, who "displayed a gun, presented a note, which demanded money and stated that he was armed." After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect is believed to have fled on foot through the Value Village parking lot.

The suspect is believed to be in his late 20's to early 30's, between 5'4" and 5'7" tall, with a medium build. At the time of the incident, he attempted to disguise himself himself with a black shoulder-length wig, and facial hair authorities believe may have been dirt or cosmetics. He was also wearing a "Portland" baseball cap, a black hooded jacket, black pants, and Van tennis shoes.

Anyone with information on his identity or whereabouts is asked to call the FBI at (907) 276-4441, or Anchorage Police at (907) 786-8900.
