A man injured while hiking along the Crow Pass Trail saturday was assisted by another hiker, a doctor.
Connor Michael, 21, was identified as the victim, having injured himself with a hatchet while on the trail. Alaska State Troopers were notified by another hiker at 8:29 p.m., a doctor who was carrying a satellite communication device. The doctor was able to offer medical assistance to Michael.
LifeMed was dispatched to the area and arrived to transport Michael to a local Anchorage hospital at 10:16 p.m., where Michael was treated with non-life threatening injuries.
