The FBI, U.S. Department of Justice and the Anchorage Police Department will hold a press conference at 10 a.m. Friday to reveal more details on convicted murderer Joshua Wade.
In a brief statement email to Channel 2 the agencies said they’re are “investigating whether Joshua Wade may have caused the deaths of persons in addition to Della Brown and Mindy Schloss.”
Wade was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Schloss, his next-door neighbor. Schloss disappeared in 2007, and investigators got a break in the case when Wade was caught on surveillance cameras using Schloss’s ATM card.
“We know you're a coward by the fact you have killed defenseless women” Judge Ralph Beistline told Wade during the 2010 sentencing hearing.
“What about the men?" Wade replied.
“I don't know -- tell me about the men you killed,” Beistline responded.
It is not known whether Friday’s press conference is related to that courtroom exchange.
Wade was acquitted of another murder in 2004, in the death of Della Brown. Wade was convicted of evidence tampering, for moving Brown’s body.
Channel 2 will have a live stream of the news conference at KTUU.com.
