An investigation into an Alaska prostitution ring has led to the arrest of a Joint Base Elemendorf-Richardson employee.

With the assistance of JBER police, investigators with the Special Crimes Investigation Unit were able to arrest 57-year-old Dr. Kelton Oliver, MD, on Friday for soliciting services of prostitution. Kelton was only the second arrest in an investigation into a prostitution ring being run online and in a massage parlor, known as Sensual Alaska.

The investigation has already seen one other arrest, that of 39-year-old Amber Batts, who investigators say was responsible for supervising the group’s website, Alaska Naughty Maids, and helping transport escorts between Fairbanks, Juneau, and Anchorage, all of which earned her a portion of the money from services rendered to “johns”.

“He's charged with… paying a person at this business for sex,” said Alaska State Trooper spokesperson Beth Ipsen. “He's considered a ‘john’.”

The investigation into Batts and Oliver is ongoing, said Ipsen.

“This business was run through online prostitution ring and it's also run out of a massage parlor,” Ipsen said. “Amber Batts, she's charged with being the owner/operator, basically madam of this prostitution ring. When a person is arrested, it doesn't mean [the investigation] stops. Through the course of communication, we found this patron and he was arrested.”

Batts has alreadybeen indicted on several charges, including sex trafficking. Oliver faced a bail of $250, which has been paid.
