ANCHORAGE, Alaska -

Anchorage police say two men suffered gunshot wounds Sunday morning at a Jewel Lake house party.

Around 2:30 a.m., police received multiple reports of gunshots at a home near the 3700 block of W. 80th Avenue. Earlier in the night, a police officer went to the house party to issue a disorderly conduct warning after several complaints of excessive noise and loud music.

“Upon arrival, officers discovered two men, both in their early 30’s, had each been struck once in the leg,” Dani Myren, police spokesperson, said in a statement.

Both men were taken to local hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say witnesses reported the victims were at the large house party, gunshots were fired and several people left the party before police arrived.

As of Sunday morning, no arrests were made and no charges were filed as police continue to investigate.
