A man accused of killing his sister-in-law, her husband and four of their children in Texas has ties to Alaska.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office says Ronald Lee Haskell, 33, has been charged with multiple counts of capital murder in the Wednesday killings. Haskell is also accused of critically wounding a 15-year-old girl.

The sheriff's office says the former Alaskan was looking for his estranged wife.

According to state records, Haskell last applied for a Permanent Fund Dividend check in 2003. Former students tell Channel 2 he went to Chugiak High School.
