ANCHORAGE -

An early Monday morning argument at a Mountain View Holiday Gas Station quickly escalated to gun fire and bloodshed.

Just after 3 a.m. Anchorage Police responded to a shooting outside the gas station on the 4600 block of Mountain View Drive. Police say the initial investigation into the shooting revealed two vehicles, a sedan and an SUV, pulled into the gas station where a “verbal altercation began.” Police say numerous shots were fired.

Police say the altercation quickly turned into shooting, with both parties involved returning to their vehicles and speeding away.

One of the individuals to exit one of the vehicles, a male, was shot and left at the scene of the incident, according to police. The male was eventually transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police continue to investigate the shooting and have made no arrests at this time.
