ANCHORAGE -

Anchorage police responded to a shooting which reportedly left a man at a Midtown apartment complex with a leg injury late Wednesday night.

APD dispatch confirmed reports of a shooting on the 3300 block of Eureka Street just after 10:30 p.m.

The victim was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

"There was a guy and a girl there," said Cyril Kulteshev, a resident of the nearby Continental Apartments. "The guy got shot in the leg; when the cops came, medical attention was administered," 

APD Spokesperson Dani Myren says "Circumstances that led up to the shooting are unknown at this time."

Myren says she's unsure if the victim is still in the hospital.
