A missing Anchorage man believed to be a danger to himself returned home safely after a public plea for help by the Anchorage Police Department.
APD spokeswoman Anita Shell says 34-year-old Janek Wierzbicki was last seen Thursday night at 9:30 p.m. Police believe he may be a danger to himself.
Shell reported Wierzbicki was talking about hurting himself and feeling suicidal before he disappeared. Police believe he may be located somewhere in the Muldoon area.
He is described as a white male, 5'9" tall, and weighing 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt with white stripes, dark colored jeans and sandals. He was driving a black 2003 Subaru Forrester, Alaska license plate EJD612.
Anyone with information on Wierzbicki's whereabouts is asked to call police at 786-8900.
