ANCHORAGE -

Two men were flown to an Anchorage hospital after their vehicle rolled over on the Parks Highway Sunday afternoon, troopers say.

Troopers received a call about a single vehicle rollover at Mile 179 on the Parks Highway around 11:55 am, according to AST spokewoman Beth Ipsen. Troopers arriving at the scene found 3 males inside a gray Dodge Ram 1500, which had rolled onto its top. The vehicle was reported to have been traveling in a northbound lane at high speeds, and swerved into oncoming traffic after hitting a patch of ice at a curve in the road.

Two of the vehicle's occupants were flown by helicopter to an Anchorage hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. The driver, 26 year old Mark Donovan, was also injured and taken to a nearby hospital via ambulance.

The highway was briefly closed while medical personnel assisted the men aboard the helicopters, and reopened shortly after takeoff.

Donovan was issued a citation for speeds unbecoming current weather conditions.
