Sunday is the deadline to get registered if you want to vote in Alaska's primaries or on Ballot Measure 1, the controversial effort to repeal Gov. Sean Parnell’s oil tax reforms.

Voter registration forms can be filled out and submitted electronically through Sunday on the state Division of Elections website. In addition, regional Division of Elections offices will be open through 4 p.m. Sunday.

The primary election is Aug. 19. On that ballot, you'll be able to vote for party candidates for U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, governor, and lieutenant governor. That's in addition to voting on Ballot Measure 1, as well as several offices around the state.
