Anchorage police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in which an SUV drove into Potter Marsh late Thursday night.

Initial reports at about 11 p.m. indicated that the crash, which occurred about half a mile south of the Potter Marsh boardwalk, involved a Honda CR-V which was seen driving erratically shortly before it swerved into the marsh off the Seward Highway.

As of about 11:45 p.m. Thursday the CR-V was upright in the marsh facing east, with its two driver’s-side doors open.

Officers at the scene say they are trying to determine whether medical issues or driver impairment were involved in the wreck. No injuries have been reported.
