A minor quake was felt by residents of Anchorage this afternoon.

A 4.73 magnitude tremor occurred just before 5:45 pm Alaska time. The U.S. Geologic Survey estimated the earthquake was located 34 miles west/southwest of Talkeetna, about 80 miles north of Alaska's largest city. The AEIC recorded the epicenter at a depth of 52 miles. 

No injuries or damage have been reported.
