Alaska State Troopers responding to the scene of a vehicle collision in Willow Sunday evening discovered two inebriated men who were both found to have driven the same car.

At 4:43 p.m., troopers received a call of a motor vehicle collision on the Little Willow Creek Bridge near Mile 75 on the Parks Highway. Responding to the scene, troopers found a damaged vehicle nearby.

Inside the vehicle were Anderson Hoskins, 35, and Benny Mancil, 28, both of Anchorage. An investigation revealed that Hoskins, who was intoxicated throughout the incident, was initially driving the vehicle and crashed into a guardrail.

Trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters says the two men then switched seats and Mancil, who was also intoxicated, began driving the vehicle.

"The two each drove from the driver’s seat position," Peters said. "The initial guy got into the wreck then pulled the car  into a lot before getting out of the car. The passenger got out, got in the driver’s seat and then turned the vehicle around."

Both men were arrested at the scene. Hoskins faces the charge of Driving Under the Influence, while Mancil was remanded on a Felony DUI for previous convictions and the charge of Driving With License Revoked.
