A Wasilla man has been arrested in relation to a string of thefts in the area, Alaska State Troopers say.

Troopers with the Criminal Suppression unit arrested 22-year-old Raymond Keown III at his home on Williwaw way Saturday after an investigation into several thefts that occurred between May 9 and May 19, 2014.

Recovered at Keown’s residence were 13 stolen firearms and stolen items totaling in value at $11,000. Troopers also say their investigation determined Keown had forged and passed a stolen check, and sold items they believe were stolen.

Keown faces over two dozen charges, including 18 counts of Theft in the second degree, five counts of Theft in the third, Burglary, Criminal Mischief in the fourth, and Forgery in the second. He is being held on three separate bails, totaling $7,500.

Troopers say the investigation into these thefts is ongoing, as well as other crimes they believe were committed by Keown.
