ANCHORAGE -

Alaska State Troopers are investigating shots fired Friday night that wounded a woman at a Palmer home.

According to a Saturday AST dispatch, troopers were called shortly before 9 p.m. Friday to report shots fired at the home, near the Glenn Highway’s intersection with South Inner Springer Loop.

“Investigation revealed multiple shots hit the house and a 69-year-old female was injured,” troopers wrote.

AST spokesperson Megan Peters was awaiting further details from investigators Saturday morning. It’s not clear whether the woman was taken to a hospital.

“It sounds like minor, non-life-threatening injuries,” Peters said.

Troopers are asking anyone with information about the shooting, or any suspicious vehicles or people in the area, to call AST at 907-745-2131 or Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.
