A national tea party group is turning its focus to Alaska's U.S. Senate race.

With the latest win for one of its candidates, in Utah Tuesday, the Tea Party Express says it now plans to devote its "full attention and resources" toward defeating Republican Lisa Murkowski in Alaska's August party primary.

The group recently endorsed Joe Miller, saying it was willing to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to help the Fairbanks attorney; Miller's also gotten Sarah Palin's support.

It's a race in which both candidates are seeking claim to the conservative label. Miller declares himself "Alaska's true conservative choice," and Murkowski has launched a radio campaign branding Washington "out of control" and seeking to burnish her own conservative credentials.
