SITKA, Alaska—
A Sitka father and son in custody on drug and assault charges since Sept. 22 have been indicted on additional felony drug charges. The Daily Sitka Sentinel (http://bit.ly/tPze3M subscription required) reports 43-year-old Christopher E. Bettencourt and 22-year-old Jeffrey W. Bettencourt were indicted last week along with the elder Bettencourt's wife and two others.
Prosecutors say Christopher Bettencourt delivered methamphetamine to a 16-year-old Sitka resident between July and September and possessed of heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine and prescription drugs with intent to deliver.
Jeffrey Bettencourt is charged with possessing heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, and prescription drugs with intent to deliver.
43-year-old Tina L. Bettencourt is charged with seven drug counts. Prosecutors say she delivered methamphetamine to a 16-year-old person between July and September 2011. Her bail was set at $100,000.
