Two people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at a liquor store in Homer.
The Homer News says according to police an armed man wearing a hooded sweat shirt and sunglasses entered the Grog Shop on Monday night. Charging documents say the man pointed a silver semi-automatic handgun at the clerk and demanded money, and the clerk handed over the cash register drawer.
The robber also allegedly took a six-pack of beer.
Homer Police Chief Mark Robl says the robber also had an improvised explosive device consisting of a clear plastic bottle containing screws, shotgun pellets and a fuse. Robl says the device appeared to have a viable explosive charge.
Fifty-year-old John Mumey and 32-year-old Terry Jean Lashley-Elliot were arraigned in Homer Court on Wednesday.
