ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
Twelve emaciated husky mix dogs were confiscated by the Matanuska Susitna Borough from a property along the Parks Highway, Thursday.
Phil Morgan, chief of the Borough's Animal Care and Regulation Department said the dogs were being examined by a vet and that their condition was “not good.”
Morgan said his team, along with Alaska State Troopers, responded to the home near mile 92 on suspicion of neglect and failure to provide.
The owner was present, but was not arrested, Morgan said.
