Matanuska Creamery Auction (KTUU / March 15, 2013) |
What's left of the Matanuska Creamery will go up for auction this weekend.
Daily previews were held this week during business hours. On Saturday, Mar. 16, Denali Auction will sell off the creamery's dairy equipment, trailers and pipes.
In December 2012, the creamery shut its doors after the company defaulted on state loans.
On Mar. 5, the state threw away more than 20-tons of rotten, mouse-infested cheese from the Matanuska Creamery.
The auction takes place Saturday, March 16 at 10 a.m. in Palmer.
