Knik Goose-Bay Road near Wasilla was temporarily closed in both directions at the site of a head-on collision that ultimately involved three vehicles and injured three people Tuesday night, according to Alaska State Troopers.
AST spokesperson Megan Peters says troopers were informed of the crash, at Knik-Goose Bay’s intersection with Donovan Drive, at 6:12 p.m. After two vehicles initially collided, a third vehicle rear-ended one of them.
Peters said Tuesday night the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. The road was closed for about 90 minutes, but has since reopened.
"A big contributing factor to the wreck was weather/road conditions," Peters said in a Wednesday email.
