Registered voters in Wasilla will decide whether to recall city council member Steve Menard Tuesday night.

The city council adopted a resolution in December, which set the special election for February 7th to ask voters whether Steve Menard should be recalled.

The recall stems from an incident in August when Menard traveled to Sitka for a business trip.

A bill from the Westmark Hotel in Sitka detailed damages including vomit on the carpet, urine of furniture, a burned mattress, and evidence of smoking.

The city council plans to certify the special election on Monday, February 13th.
