Grieving Grandfather Helping Push 'Hannah's Law'
Seven-year-old Hannah Gerlt drowned at Smithville Lake in a tragic accident last July that also took the life of her guardian. Now, her grandfather's mission to keep another family from suffering the same kind of loss that he did is a step closer to reality as "Hannah's Law," which would require life-jackets for young children in lakes and streams, makes it way through the Missouri Legislature.
