KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) -- Atlanta Braves minor league manager Luis Salazar has undergone surgery and was scheduled for more after being hit in the face by Brian McCann's foul liner while standing in the dugout during an exhibition game.
Salazar was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center after getting hit Wednesday.
He's in his first season as manager of the Lynchburg Hillcats.
Braves spokesman Brad Hainje said Thursday that Salazar underwent surgery Wednesday night and "he's having more surgery today."
Hainje said "it may be another day or two before we have final clarification on everything they had to do."
Braves general manager Frank Wren said Salazar may have sustained a concussion and might have a facial fracture and damage around his left eye.
A Braves spokesman told MLB.com that Salazar does not have brain damage.

Lynchburg Hillcats manager Luis Salazar was seriously injured by a foul ball during a spring training game today in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
Salazar was standing along the railing of the dugout during a game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Braves when a foul ball off the bat of Braves catcher Brian McCann struck him in the face.
Salazar fell backwards and hit his head on concrete.
He was unconscious for about 15 minutes and airlifted to an Orlando area hospital.
Salazar, 54, did not regain consciousness until he was in the helicopter.
It’s believed he suffered a concussion and an injury to his left eye.
According to the Associated Press, Salazar is responding to doctors.
It's his first year year as Lynchburg's manager and with the Atlanta organization.
He had a 13-year playing career in the Majors that included time with the Chicago Cubs and White Sox, San Diego Padres and Detroit Tigers.
McCann reportedly took himself out of the game after the incident.
The Hillcats are affiliated with the Braves.
Lynchburg opens its season April 8.
