Police in Shrewsbury are asking the public for help in identifying a knife-wielding thief who held up a tobacco store in York County on Friday evening. The masked bandit entered Planet RYO along the first block of Constitution Avenue around 6:40 p.m. and demanded cash and potpourri from the store clerk, police said.
The suspect was clutching a large knife during the robbery, according to police reports.
The man fled the scene after getting the merchandise and an undisclosed amount of cash.
A red Ford Explorer may have been involved in the robbery, police said.
Witnesses describe the suspect as a white male and between 5'11" and 6'1" in height. He was last seen wearing a purple and grey hooded sweatshirt, white sneakers and a facemask.
