MIDDLEBURY, Ind. — WSBT has learned two Amish children injured in the Elkhart County pony cart accident Monday have been upgraded from critical to serious condition.
This good news comes from an official at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, where 10-year-old Jeneva Miller and 4-year-old Jared miller are recovering from their injuries.
Their sister Joyce Miller, 9, was discharged on Wednesday.
Police say the speed limit on the stretch of County Road 24 near Middlebury where an SUV hit their pony cart is 55 MPH. But investigators don't know how fast the SUV was going when the cart pulled out in front of it.
Two of the children — 10-year-old Jenna Miller and 7-year-old Jolisa Miller — were killed.
