A nine-year-old family dog in Yakutat is fine after surviving a fall down a 35-foot well.
Tinaa, a Pitbull/Blue Heeler mix, didn't come home Jan. 4. Her owner, Ron Buller, wasn't worried since she often roams town.
KCAW reports (http://is.gd/mXxBxe) hours later, there was an earthquake. Buller hoped she sensed it was coming and went off to hide.
But she still hadn't come home by the next night and he was worried she was attacked by wolves.
Later that night, a neighbor called to say someone heard barking coming from under a building. His son investigated and found Tinaa at the bottom of the well.
A rescue party formed and Tinaa was pulled out of the waist-deep water she had been standing in for at least 24 hours.
