July 13, dozens of people will go "Over The Edge" in Midtown to raise money for the YMCA's programs in Alaska.

Participants raise $1,500 for a chance to repel down the JL Tower.

Thursday, local celebrities and members of the media, including Channel 2's Todd Walker got their shot to rappel down the 14-story building.

Fresh off her Mt. Marathon win, Holly Brooks said “that's pretty much the closest you'll ever come to being a super hero Spider-man style you know just bouncing off the building.”

Organizers say there are still spaces available for Friday's event.

“This is our only major fundraiser so any money raised at this goes to financial assistance and it just gives us the ability to help more families,” Taryn Perez, event organizer, said.
