No Injuries Reported in Dutch Harbor Runway Plane Crash (Cliff Nicholas Kashevarof / February 16, 2013) |
A Grant Aviation plane had a rough landing in Dutch Harbor around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
The National Transportation Safety board says the plane, which was headed to Dutch Harbor from Akutan, slid off the runway when it tried to land and its left landing gear collapsed.
Clint Johnson, chief of the NTSB's regional office in Anchorage, said weather conditions were reportedly windy at the time of the crash.
There were three people on board, including the pilot.
No one was injured in the crash landing and the NTSB will assess the damage.
