Ht: 6-1 Wt: 185 Class: 2013 Recruiting Buzz: Comes to UCF along with his twin brother, Shaquill Griffin, Shaquem is a dynamic safety. Griffin had his left hand amputed when he was four years old after issues resulting from Amniotic Band Syndrome, a syndrome in which the amniotic sac entangled itself around Griffin's wrist and stunted development. Despite that, Griffin has used a variety of homemade devices to work out and lift weights, and became one of the Tampa area's top defensive players. On film you can see why. He has good speed and size at safety, does a nice job closing and making a play on the ball and is a ferocious hitter. Also had offers from Cincinnati, Minnesota and FIU, among others.
