American Canadian Fisheries

More than 700 chinook salmon, averaging 8-12 pounds were harvested Monday from the Medusa Creek weir in Charlevoix, by employees of the American Canadian Fisheries under the supervision of the of the Department of Natural Resources Charlevoix Fisheries Research Station. The team collects salmon into containers, where they are counted, iced and shipped to Traverse City for processing weekly through Nov. 1.
