Charlevoix City Treasurer Rick Brandi said recently finalized county equalization figures for 2011 taxable values held a surprise for city officials. Instead of the 7 percent decrease in property values that city officials had used to create the 2011-12 budget, property values actually climbed slightly by a little more than 2 percent. |
