Robert Donaldson of Hazel Crest, Illinois points out a photo of Dr. Benjamin Monroe at The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum on NW 5th Avenue in Delray Beach. Donaldson, who grew up in Sebring and attended Florida A&M University, was a student teacher at the old Carver High School in 1963. Dr. Monroe was one of his students. As for Donaldson, he is a university professor and Mayor of Hazel Crest.
