Broward and Palm Beach County members of Congress were sworn in on Monday inside the heavily secured Federal Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale. The ceremony was previously held outside, but after Arizona congresswoman Gabby Gifford was shot in 2011, Florida officials felt the need for a more controlled location.
