Bob Flanigan (top center), a founding member and original lead singer of the innovative vocal group the Four Freshmen, died May 15, at his home in Las Vegas of congestive heart failure. He retired as singer of the band in 1992 but would remain as manager until his death. The band had a series of hits in the '50s, including "Graduation Day" and '"It's a Blue World." Flanigan was 84.
