Petra Nemcova

Petra Nemcova was discovered by a modeling scout on the streets of her native country, the Czech Republic. She is a well-established supermodel, having posed for magazines like "Elle," "Cosmopolitan," "Vanity Fair," and "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition." In 2004, she nearly died while hanging on to a tree during a devastating tsunami in Thailand. As a result, Nemcova suffered a broken pelvis and internal injuries. This near-death experience dramatically changed her outlook on life, so she created the "Happy Hearts Fund," a charitable organization which helps children who live in natural disaster areas receive education. After everything she's overcome, we think she's ready to compete with Dmitry Chaplin on "Dancing with the Stars."
