The Aces outshot the Cincinnati Cyclones, 32-16 but suffered a 3-1 defeat to the ECHL's Esastern Conference champions in Friday's game four of the Kelly Cup Finals.
Cincinnati evens the series at two wins apiece, with the teams alternating victories in game one through four. Game five is Saturday in Cincinnati.
The Cyclones scored on their first shot of the evening, a power play one-timer by Josh Shalla at 7:48 of the first period. Jonathan Hazen added a rush goal at 6:35 of the second period to give Cincinnati a two goal cushion.
Alaska wasn't done, however. Tommy Mele scored on a pretty feed by Brendan Connolly at the 10:02 mark of the second. Connolly has assisted on each of Alaska's last three goals over the last two games.
Cincinnati's Rob Madore held the lead, saving 31 of the Aces 32 shots. Gerald Coleman made 13 stops for Alaska.
