Iron Dog puts racers on hold due to extreme weather at Unalakleet

The Iron Dog race has put all racers -- both in the pro and trail class -- on an eight-hour hold, that could last even longer, if the weather on the Bering Sea coast doesn't let up.

Alaska's Ryan Stassel is scheduled to compete in the men's inaugural big air competition at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. The event starts at 3:30 p.m. Alaska time.

Catch the start of the Iditasport Ultra Marathon in Willow, on February 19, 2018.

Track the Iron Dog racers as they jet across Alaska from Big Lake, to Nome, to Fairbanks.
