The Alaska Aces overcame an early 1-0 deficit to knock off the Idaho Steelheads, 6-4 and even the best of seven ECHL Western Conference Semifinals at one victory apiece on Friday night.  Evan Trupp scored twice to lead the Aces.

Alex Belzile added a goal and an assist while Nick Mazzolini notched a pair of assists as Alaska outshot Idaho, 45-22.  Pat Nagle started in net for Idaho in place of Josh Robinson, who shut out the Aces in game one and finished that game on a scoreless streak of 169 minutes, 42 seconds.

Alaska led, 3-1 after two periods following Trupp's second goal of the contest.  Things got interesting in the third, as the teams combined for six goals, but the Aces never gave up the lead.  Olivier Roy picked up the win in net for Alaska, with 18 saves.

Game three of the series is Monday in Boise, with games four and five set for Wednesday and Thursday.
