Big Second Half Run Carries Seawolves

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -

The UAA women's basketball team showed no signs of a Shootout hangover, crushing preseason conference favorite Montana State-Billings 90-59 to open Great Northwest Athletic Conference play.  The Seawolves improve to 6-1 overall.

UAA led 47-32 at the break, and then proceeded to open the second half on a 19-5 run to stretch the lead to 29 points.

KeKe Wright and Emily Craft shared the team lead with 16 points, and Jessica Madison pumped in 15 for UAA, which shot 55 percent for the game.  The Seawolves had assists on 24 of their 31 field goals, with Christina Davis dishing out 11 assists. 

UAA faces 6th-ranked Seattle Pacific on Saturday night at 5:15.
