Seawolves announce 2015-16 hockey schedule

The UAA hockey program released its 2015-16 regular season schedule on Monday.  The Seawolves will begin the season hosting their annual tournament October 9th and 10th, with Arizona state and St. Cloud State set to compete in the event, along with UAF.

McCarthy, Mullings collect major postseason honors

Seawolves drop game, then Governor's Cup in shootout

The UAF Nanooks completed a comeback from down two games to none to claim the Governor's Cup on Saturday, defeating UAA 3-2 in the series finale and then also claiming the tie-breaking shootout.  The two teams had split their annual four game series, necessitating the extra round.

Lynx girls, T-Bird boys claim CIC basketball titles

Both the East High girls and West High boys entered the championship games of the Cook Inlet Conference basketball tournament undefeated against league competition.  Both however, lost the finals to lower seeded schools.

UAF's Sean Cahill stopped all 22 UAA shots as the Nanooks blanked the Seawolves, 1-0 in game three of the Governor's Cup series on Friday night at Sullivan Arena.

The top ranked Seawolf women's basketball team survived a missed three point attempt at the buzzer to get past Simon Fraser, 59-56 in Friday's semifinals of the GNAC tournament in Billings, Montana.
