Following a 5-22-1 record in conference play a season ago, the UAA Seawolves have been given very little respect by WCHA media members. The group of 25 pollsters picks the Seawolves to finish last in the final season of the current conference membership. UAA plays its first league series October 26th and 27th at North Dakota, the choice to come in second in the conference. Defending regular season conference champion Minnesota is a near unanimous pick to win the WCHA, with 24 of 25 fist place votes.
