ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
The UAA women's basketball team are ranked 22nd in the USA Today Sports/ESPN Division II Top 25 coaches' poll, in Tuesday's preseason rankings.
The Seawolves extended the longest streak in NCAA Division II to 82 straight weeks in the top 25. The team debuted in the rankings back in Oct. 31, 2007, and finished 7th in last year's final poll.
UAA returns one starter this season, senior PG Sasha King, and also returns senior F Alysa Horn, as the team's top returning scorer.
UAA starts play November 4th, with an exhibition game against D1 Arizona State. The women start the regular season November 9th, hosting the Colorado School of Mines at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex.
