One week after lowering her own state record in the 100 meter backstroke, Sam Wicks of East High School has made her college decision. Wicks, who has won seven career state individual swimming titles, signed her national letter of intent on Thursday to attend Boise State University.
Wicks capped off her outstanding high school career last weekend with two individual titles, including a record time of 54.78 seconds in the 100 meter backstroke to qualify for the national championships in December. According to her high school coach, Cliff Murray, at that meet she will be attempted to qualify for next year's Olympic trials.
