The Iditarod 2012 Finishers Banquet was held in Nome on Sunday, March 18 with 14 awards handed out minus the Red Lantern Award.

A separate banquet will be held on Monday evening, March 19 for mushers Jan Steves and Bob Chlupach – after finishing early Monday morning.

Steves reached the Burled Arch in 14 days, 11 hours, 57 minutes and 11 seconds and won the Red Lantern Award early Monday morning.

53 teams out of 66 completed the nearly 1,000 mile sled dog race.  25-year-old Dallas Seavey became the youngest Iditarod champion with his finish on Tuesday, March 13.
