Youth boxing exhibition
11 a.m., Westmorland City Hall Park
The annual Honey Festival will feature a 14-bout boxing exhibition during the festival and feature youth boxers throughout the Imperial Valley. The main event will feature Westmorland Police Activities League boxer Luis Hernandez facing Daniel Leyva of Solo Fitness Boxing.
The fight card will also have boxers from La Gente Boxing Club, Calipatria Boxing, Sparta Boxing and Chula Vista Boxing.
NOVEMBER 18
ITFA football banquet
3 p.m., Frank Wright Middle School in Imperial
The Imperial Tigers Football Association will have the football banquet for all levels in the school’s cafeteria. Players eat free while parents must pay $7 in advance or $10 at the door. Please RSVP by Nov. 12 by calling Tammy Derrick at 760-222-8440.
NOVEMBER 24
Fourth annual Girls’ Softball Camp
9 a.m., Calexico High softball field
The camp will feature professional softball players Amber Flores and Jamee Juarez. Registration is $35 the day of the camp and includes lunch. It is open to girls ages 6 to 16. Registration will be from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. For more information call Alex Flores at 760-460-6731.
