Don't be surprised if you see Dustin Ackley on the Mariners big league roster this season. But you'll have to wait.

The M's optioned Ackely, an infielder and former first-round draft pick, to AAA Tacoma today. The move comes a day after making an infield switch between Brendan Ryan and Jack Wilson permanent. Wilson will start the year at second base, and Ryan will play shortstop.

Today’s roster moves leave the Mariners with 41 players in their Major League camp: 29 roster players (1 on 60-day DL) and 12 non-roster invitees.
