Former UAA runners David Kiplagat and Davya Flaharty claimed the men's and women's crowns in the 41st annual Mayor's Midnight Sun Marathon Saturday, June 21st.

Kiplagat defended his men's title with a winning time of 2:32:11, followed closely by his brother Paul Rottich at 2:32:13.

For the women, Flaharty posted her first sub-3 hour marathon with a time of 2:59:51.

Nearly 4200 runners participated in this year's event, with representatives from all 50 states and 15 countries.
